I am a Bengali girl staying in Bangalore, India. I graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and now work for a private company which provides technology consultation to attorneys in US law firms related to intellectual property. I got married in December 2009 and now I am a proud mother of a 4 year old boy .
I don’t remember from when exactly I started enjoying cooking. Perhaps from my college days. It started with experimental evening snacks. The craving for applause and smile on my family’s face encouraged me to try various dishes.
I’ve always liked the cookery shows on TV. Be it the “Khana Khazana” by Sanjeev Kapoor or any other show on the local Bengali channels. But cooking wasn’t my passion then. I liked to click photographs of random abstract subjects and nature, especially the variant colors of the sky.
After my marriage, I got ample chances to experiment with my culinary skills. Weekly trips to the departmental store enabled me to try various items and cook them into inviting dishes. I turned my husband into the experimental guinea pig to try out all that I make. Thanks to him for all his support.
Hollywood movie “Julie and Julia” inspired me to cook and eventually start a cookery blog. And thus, this blog. An amalgamation of my passion for cooking and photography. I promise to make this blog better with every passing post .
Thanks for visiting my blog!!
